When I tell people about my business school experience, I tell them that I spent 3.5 years (I did the program part-time) of learning how to do PowerPoint... 

I'm adept at creating slides, but actually presenting slides has always been a challenge for me. 

My notes throughout the years of giving presentations:

• What's the main point, take away for this slide?
• Focus on the Must Knows of the presentation
• Speak slowly
• Practice, practice, practice
• Confidence - what I have to say is valuable, take time to go through my slides
• Don't rush to please other people - it's ok to take time
• No one expects you to be perfect.  No one expects you have all the answers.
• Deep breaths
• Brief bullets, white space, non-cutesy graphics
• Act confident (even when you are not)
• Be an actor and give a performance
• Have fun!
